A new look for 2018
All the old dolls are still available though, but new ones with new outfits will be coming soon and consistently!
This last December I somehow ended up hosting a table for a women's breakfast at church. It ended up being a lot more fun that I thought it might. I wore one of my favorite blouses (white with blue, purple, and black design), my green wool skirt, a light brown sweater, thick grey tights, and brown leather shoes.
My table looked pretty cool too (I was pleased with it.) I've been collecting a certain style of dinnerware that was in make from the 1930's-1950's. It's a lovely set by Royal China with a blue design and each type of dish has a different Currier & Ives print in the center. I used those dishes and a blue tablecloth and put pressed, dried leaves at random over the table. The centerpiece was a few glass jars of assorted shapes filled with dried lavender or roses. It was my first attempt at seriously fancy table decorating and I felt happy with the results!
Yesterday we went skiing and I did downhill for the first time ever. It was okay (I like cross country better), but the best part of the day came when we did what is called "Airboarding". You use an inflated board about four feet long and three feet wide. The front is tapered to help it be more aerodynamic. There are two handles halfway down on the sides to hold onto. At the end of the ski day we went up on the last lift and from the top of the mountain rode our airboards down to the lodge. It was absolutely fantastic! They're pretty hard to steer (and turning is what helps you slow down) so I chose to make it as straight a shot as I could. Talk about fast and out of control! If you ever get a chance to try it out, do it. It was so much fun!
