We had a pseudo-family reunion for my Grandpa's birthday recently. I wore a floor-length, multi-colored cotton skirt with lots of little ruffles. A basic long sleeve grey shirt with a brown fitted jacket finished me off.
The "Me" doll is a new attempt at drawing modern fashion. The outfits she sports are near perfect replicas of outfits I, myself, wear. Strangely, though, they look a whole lot better in the paper doll realm than in real life!
This outfit was worn while cross country skiing. A tank top, layered with a button up plaid shirt, over jeans was the base ensemble. A heavy winter coat and nice new gaiters kept me warm and dry. The duck-bill sticking out from the shoes is to latch onto my skies. It was so warm when we went that I soon removed the hat, scarf, and gloves that originally were part of the outfit!
We still don't have one of the March sisters or Juana, but I created a paper doll based on (of all people) me. It's kind of funny to find that my clothes look a lot cuter on a paper doll than in real life! The outfits are all based on ones belonging to my own wardrobe. Of course, I've chosen to only show my favorite ones! Soon I'll erase the pencil lines and be able to scan them in and give you a proper look at them. But for now, here are the spoilers:
Here's two more preview of future things. The first is Alisaid (Coridel's youngest sister). I'm still undecided on the pose, I think I'll destroy her high heels and give her flats... And I recently got some calligraphy pens so I've been playing around with them. They're fun!
