Adelaide: Formal Gown 1

Here is Adelaide looking very gorgeous in a long satin gown with brocaded bodice. It's very simple, but quite elegant.

Lovely drape in the bottom of the skirt. The fabric seems to really have "weight" if you know what I mean. The doll looks a little upset about something though... a pity when she's wearing such a lovely dress.

Thanks! I've been looking at old portraits of women in the era and was able to try and copy the draping of their skirts.
Adeliade is a rather sad girl, her story isn't finished yet, but she is an orphan and her brothers were adopted out of the country. There's also a terrible pirate who is determined she know's how to get to a treasure hidden by her grandfather...

I've always like off-the-shoulder dresses. Not quite as revealing as other styles but not stuffy either.
